What drew you to WashU?

When I was applying to residency, I was looking for a top quality program that would push me to learn but also support me as a learner and a human being! The atmosphere at interview day (and especially the dinner before) at WashU was exactly that. The residents were incredibly intelligent but able to laugh at themselves. The friendships were strong. And for those reasons, WashU was my favorite interview dinner of the season. Now that I’m on the other side of it all, I can say everything I observed holds true. I have had the best residents, attendings, and co-interns on my team. I could not be happier with where I am!

What is your favorite part about living in St. Louis?

My neighborhood! My husband and I bought a place in the Central West End and still cannot get over how much we love it. I can walk to and from work, all the restaurants, and of course the park. Being close to work and having all the amenities I could want within walking distance has made the transition to residency very manageable and low-stress.
