The Washington University Leadership Pathway is a professional development certificate program that prepares interested medicine residents for early career leadership opportunities by building your leadership skill knowledge base and skillset as well as exploring the variety of career options and opportunities in leadership.

The pathway includes dedicated didactic time in which residents will participate in leadership skills workshops in partnership with Barnes Learning Institute. The pathway also includes a career exploration sessions with a variety of leaders across the institution who will share their career path, current role(s), and tips for career success; this will be followed by a Q&A session. The third component is institutional involvement (through joining an existing institutional committee) and developing and executing a longitudinal individual project with guided mentorship.
