What drew you to WashU?
I went to WashU for undergrad so always knew about the rich history and reputation the School of Medicine carried. The Internal Medicine department is no exception to that. The training offered is filled with a true sense of servitude to the greater St. Louis community while also offering tertiary care to Missouri and the Midwest in general. Most importantly, the culture of the people at WashU really attracted me to come back for training. WashU residents, fellows, and faculty are among the brightest, most passionate, and hard working individuals you will come across. What sets them apart, however, is their ability to be the best and the brightest but remain humble and completely down to earth. This really sets the stage for what training at WashU is like: being #HereWithUs.
What is your favorite part about living in St. Louis?
I absolutely love the architecture and green-space of the city. The neighborhoods filled with amazing historical buildings and districts. The city has tons of trees along its streets and has an incredibly accessible park system. Ease of living is a huge perk too, you can definitely enjoy yourself while working a resident schedule in St. Louis. Traffic just means there are cars on the road!
