What drew you to WashU?

Three main things drew me to WashU for residency. First, as a med student here, I witnessed a really nice camaraderie among the Internal Medicine residents that makes the training environment very supportive and fun. Second, at Barnes you have an extraordinary privilege to get to know and care for a diverse patient population from the St. Louis community as well as from around the Midwest. Third, the teaching faculty are amazing and really dedicated to pushing residents toward independence.

What is your favorite part about living in St. Louis?

Forest Park is truly amazing and beautiful, but I also love Tower Grove Park for a quiet place to jog, walk and relax with friends. For a relatively small city, St. Louis also surprised me with a great food scene. From delicious Chinese restaurants on Olive (Cate Zone, Sichuan Cuisine, Tai Ke to name a few) to Union Loafers for amazing sandwiches and pizza, there are so many places to check out!
